Our Programmes

Three ways to engage with personal finance education — choose the pace and depth that suits where you are now.

  • Comparable breadth to the Foundation Year
  • Suited to those with some prior grounding
  • Written course notes included
Introductory Half-Day

  • Saturday morning session
  • Three core themes with worked examples
  • Written notes to take home
  • No prior knowledge required

Why Tunas Wealth

We teach personal finance as a craft that takes time to absorb — not a product to sell, and not a shortcut to outcomes we can't predict.

Substantive Curriculum

Each session addresses one topic in depth, with written materials provided ahead of time. The pace is deliberate — enough time to read, to think, and to bring questions to the room.

Small Cohorts

Foundation Year groups are capped at twelve. That constraint is deliberate — it means instructors know who is in the room and can address the specific circumstances participants bring to the material.

Malaysian Context

Topics are taught through the lens of Malaysian regulation, EPF and private retirement schemes, local tax obligations, and the estate and family financial structures common here.

Designed for Adults at Midlife

Our programmes assume no background in finance, but they also do not condescend. Participants in their forties and fifties bring professional experience that enriches group discussion.

Written Materials Included

All participants receive notes, reading guides, and worked examples for every session. The material is yours to keep and refer back to after the programme ends.

No Product Sales

Tunas Wealth does not sell investment products or earn referral fees. Our programmes exist solely to educate — what you do with the knowledge is entirely your decision.

Is One of Our Programmes Right for You?

If you are in your forties or fifties and want to understand your finances more clearly — without pressure, without sales — we are glad to describe what the courses involve and answer your questions.

Common Questions

Straightforward answers to things people usually ask before enquiring.

Who are the programmes designed for?
Adults who are in or approaching their forties and are starting to think carefully about the second half of working life. Most participants have professional careers, some savings, and a genuine interest in understanding where they stand financially. No prior study of finance is required for any of our programmes.
What is the difference between the Foundation Year and the Six-Week Course?
Both cover similar ground in personal finance. The Foundation Year does so over twelve monthly sessions, which allows time for reading ahead, reflection between sessions, and discussion of how each topic connects to the others. The Six-Week Course moves at greater pace and is better suited to participants who already have some familiarity with the subject and want to fill specific gaps.
Do you offer individual financial advice?
No. Tunas Wealth is an education institute. We teach concepts, frameworks, and how Malaysian financial structures work. We do not provide regulated financial planning advice, and we do not make product recommendations. Participants are expected to apply what they learn to their own circumstances, with the assistance of qualified advisers where appropriate.
Where are sessions held?
All sessions are held at our premises at 39, Jalan Pinang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur. The location is accessible by LRT (Ampang Park station is nearby) and has parking in the vicinity. We do not currently offer remote or online attendance.
What does the Introductory Half-Day cover?
The half-day session covers the three themes we return to throughout all our programmes: the household balance sheet, the planning horizon, and the family financial conversation. It uses worked examples and is designed to give you a clear sense of whether the teaching approach and the material suit you before you consider a longer course.
How do I enrol in a programme?
Send us an enquiry using the form below or call us directly. We will explain the current schedule, available places, and any intake dates coming up. Places in the Foundation Year are limited, so it helps to make contact early if you have a particular cohort in mind.
What is the fee for each programme, and what does it cover?
The Foundation Year Programme is MYR 2,400, the Six-Week Course is MYR 1,150, and the Introductory Half-Day is MYR 440. Fees cover all session attendance, written materials, and pre-reading guides. No additional charges apply for standard participation.
